The new US Embassy Complex is located on a 60,000 SQM campus in a northern district in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The three story New Embassy consists of two rectangular wings connected and separated by the two story high gallery. Interior finishes include limestone flooring, wood paneling on the walls and wood slatted panels on the ceiling of the gallery. The façade is comprised of light colored limestone, selected based on local historical vernacular, and metal panel cladding that forms sun4shading for the majority of the glazing on the main façade. A large tensile fabric canopy referencing the longevity of local culture and indigenous nomadic tent structures, spans a great part of the structure as well as the entry spaces and marks this primary building. The canopy structure is repeated on a smaller scale throughout the site on parking areas and among the Staff Diplomatic Apartments.

The residential component of the Embassy campus includes 41 Apartments, Chief of Mission Residence, Deputy Chief of Mission Residence, Marine Security Guard Quarters, recreational facilities and swimming pool, and American Club.
