Washington, DC
The original building dates back to 1913, when it served as the home of the Annie Hurt Foundation for the Blind. A historically sensitive restoration and conversion transformed the building into a combination of 15 flats and two-story luxury condominiums. The renovation breathes life back into this historic building through the preservation of the original façade, dramatic windows, porch and columns. The interior features internal elevators, tall ceilings with recessed lighting, white oak wood flooring, storage units and parking for each unit. The architects integrated the building’s history by incorporating multiple textures to better distinguish rooms and Braille signage that will accommodate the blind and visually impaired.
These luxury residences offer both the excitement of the city and the intimacy of a quiet neighborhood. It brings together modern aesthetic and traditional features to provide a unique, luxury living experience.
