We are currently seeking an experienced Marketing/Proposal Manager. The selected candidate will develop and coordinate marketing initiatives including proposals, presentations, awards submissions, social media, print and digital marketing material, websites, and other special projects. Role and Responsibilities

End to end responsibility for firm-wide proposal activities:

  • Review daily RFP/RFQ solicitations and work with leadership to determine strategy
  • Manage the entire proposal process, including kick-off meetings, developing proposal outlines, coordinating submission deadlines, research, design/formatting, and working closely with design staff on crafting compelling copy to accomplish high quality RFP submissions
  • Coordinate subconsultant materials as required
  • Ensure administrative proposal requirements are met, working with office administrative team
  • Lead coordination and develop shortlist presentations with project teams during interview phase
  • Manage and organize database of proposal information and archive

General marketing activities:

  • Attend weekly marketing meetings, working with firm leadership to share new ideas, set strategy and report on updates
  • Develop, write, design, and layout marketing collateral
  • Support business development efforts, events and special initiatives
  • Research, analyze, monitor and report on new RFP/RFQ opportunities, potential clients, and industry trends
  • Develop qualification packages for prospective clients and leads
  • Organize and maintain database and marketing files
  • Maintain and update corporate websites and social media platforms
  • Support multiple initiatives concurrently

Skills & Experience

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Architecture, Design, English, Communications, Marketing, Business or related field and/or minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of the A/E/C or related industry is required
  • Experience supporting proposal efforts in the A/E/C industry is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
  • Ability to create tailored graphic layouts and maintain graphic standards
  • Fluency in critical software programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Experience managing Social Media is a plus
  • Understanding and passion for mission-driven work

Compensation

Salary up to $110,000 commensurate with experience.

Work Structure

We follow a hybrid work model: in-person at our Washington, DC office from Monday to Thursday, with remote work on Fridays. Special considerations may be made.
